How fun to have such great buddies! My only suggestion is to keep having those play dates! My observation is that around 4, they start wanting to play with their like gender as they are discovering gender specific ways to play...dolls/playing house etc. vs. light saber/sword fight/wars etc. I got so sad when the gender separation started happening with my kids!
I hear ya on keeping up those playdates. Lilliana still prefers to play with boys, but will also have fun with the girls. it seems to me that boys tend to have a harder time playing with girls as they get older...
